Prayer for children with disabilities in the Holy Ascension Church.

On October 24, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church commemorates the Holy Martyr Areta and the Holy Mother of God "Joy to all who mourn" with an inspiring and moving liturgy organized by the Plovdiv Metropolis in the Holy Ascension Church. Believers gathered in the temple and united their hearts in prayer to support families with children with special needs, emphasizing the deep meaning of faith as support and comfort in difficult moments.
This liturgy not only offered spiritual support, but also drew attention to the daily challenges faced by children and their loved ones. After the blessed service, all present shared a modest lunch where the spirit of solidarity and community was palpable in the air.
The Creators of Hope Foundation added its contribution by inviting families with children with special needs to this event and providing them not only with spiritual support, but also with a special three-month therapeutic riding course. This initiative offers children unique therapeutic activities that promote both their physical and emotional well-being.
The event was met with deep gratitude and clearly demonstrated how the church, together with committed community organizations, can create a space where spiritual care and concrete support intertwine to inspire and bring joy to the most vulnerable among us.
Together we can continue to create light and hope in the lives of those who need it most!
